Realtors are paid via commission. The funds are transferred to the listing agent’s brokerage, who will split the fees with the co-operating brokerage once the sale is completed.

The real estate agent in the contract has been designated to sell your property during the period stipulated on the agreement. If you, the seller, find a buyer on your own, the real estate agent will still be eligible for remuneration.
